Sony and Honda have been steadily unveiling details about their Afeela EV brand since its debut in 2023, but the most anticipated information was revealed at CES 2025. Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida announced that the four-door Afeela electric sedan will start at $89,900, with a premium trim available at a starting price of $102,900. Designed to combine Honda’s renowned manufacturing expertise with Sony’s cutting-edge infotainment and software capabilities, the Afeela EV aims to redefine the all-electric sedan market.

Reservations for the Afeela are now open, with California customers able to secure their spot with a refundable $200 fee. Both models of the Afeela will come with a three-year complimentary subscription to select features and functionality, showcasing the brand’s commitment to integrating advanced technology with user-focused benefits.

The Afeela sedan emphasizes a seamless interplay between software and hardware, featuring a sleek design enhanced by sensors and interactive screens. While the early concept version, revealed in 2023, showcased unique elements like a yoke-style steering wheel, plush seating, and even a movie theater-style display, the production model is expected to adopt more practical features, including traditional door handles. Sony and Honda’s collaboration aims to strike a balance between futuristic design and real-world usability.

At its core, the Afeela EV reflects the merging of Honda’s reliability with Sony’s innovation in entertainment and technology. As the brand continues to reveal more details, including during a follow-up CES press conference, the Afeela is positioning itself as a serious contender in the premium electric vehicle market. Starting at $89,900, this high-tech sedan offers a glimpse into the future of mobility, blending luxury, performance, and state-of-the-art technology.
