SAMSUNG GALAXY S25:
The highlight of last week’s Samsung CES press conference may have been the announcement of another major event. Samsung wrapped up its presentation by teasing the next Samsung Unpacked event, scheduled for January 22 at 10 a.m. PT.
As with recent Unpacked events, this one will be streamed live on Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel. The company is already encouraging early reservations by offering a $50 Samsung Store credit for preorders made ahead of the event, with details available on its website.
Leaks and renders suggest the Galaxy S25 will retain a design similar to its predecessor but with a slimmer profile—rumors indicate it could be 1 to 2 millimeters thinner. Hardware upgrades are anticipated, including the addition of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which was unveiled in October. While processor variations may appear in international models, the U.S. version is likely to include this chip.
GALAXY AI:
Samsung is also expected to highlight Galaxy AI, as the company strives to establish itself as a leader in artificial intelligence. This could include updates to features like Circle to Search, introduced with the S24, and potentially new advancements to compete with Google’s Gemini AI.
Other possible announcements include a successor to the Galaxy Ring wearable and more details about Project Moohan, Samsung’s extended reality headset being developed in collaboration with Google. While less certain, these could add an extra layer of excitement to the event.
