Amazon Music introduces Topics, a new AI-powered feature designed to simplify podcast discovery

Amazon Music has launched Topics, a new AI-powered feature available to all U.S. customers on iOS and Android across all subscription tiers. Powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Topics is designed to enhance podcast discovery by enabling users to browse episodes based on the subjects discussed within them.

How Topics Works

With Topics, users can explore podcast episodes by selecting specific topic tags displayed beneath episode descriptions. These tags group episodes with similar subject matter, making it easy to find related content based on your interests.

How It Works Behind the Scenes

To suggest relevant topic tags, Topics uses AI to analyze podcast transcripts and descriptions, supplemented by human review to ensure accuracy. As the feature expands, Amazon Music plans to include more podcasts and refine the quality and range of topics available.

With Topics, Amazon Music is unlocking a new way for listeners to engage with podcasts, making audio content more accessible and tailored to individual interests.
