Apple has officially unveiled the Powerbeats Pro 2, an upgraded version of its original Powerbeats Pro earbuds, nearly six years after the first release. Tailored for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, the new model offers enhanced audio, advanced features, and improved functionality.
Oliver Schusser, Apple’s Vice President of Music and Beats, called the Powerbeats Pro 2 “the most impressive product in Beats’ history,” designed to withstand intense workouts with cutting-edge technology and powerful sound. The earbuds come in four colors: Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange, and are available for purchase online starting February 11 for $250, with in-store availability beginning February 13.

Key features include Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and Adaptive EQ, which adjusts sound based on ear shape and environment. With an IPX4 rating, the earbuds are sweat- and water-resistant, weighing just 77.7g. They also support Class 1 Bluetooth for a stable connection and seamless pairing.
A standout addition is Heart Rate Monitoring, useful for tracking fitness during workouts. The Powerbeats Pro 2 boasts up to 45 hours of battery life, improved call quality, and wireless charging support with a compact, 33% smaller charging case. Powered by the H2 chip (the same as the AirPods Pro 2), these earbuds can provide real-time data during workouts, syncing with popular fitness apps like Peloton, Nike Run Club, and Apple’s Health app.
