Blinkit Expands Quick Delivery Service to Electronics and Healthcare
Zomato-owned Blinkit has broadened its 10-minute delivery offerings to include high-value electronics like laptops, monitors, and printers, according to CEO Albinder Dhindsa on X (formerly Twitter). The service is now live in cities such as Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Lucknow. Competing with platforms like Flipkart Minutes and Bigbasket’s BB Now, Blinkit’s electronics range includes laptops from HP, monitors from Lenovo, Zebronics, and MSI, as well as printers from Canon and HP. These items will primarily be delivered using a specialized fleet for larger orders, with plans to add more brands and products soon.

The move reflects a growing trend of quick commerce platforms diversifying into horizontal marketplaces, offering categories like fashion, beauty, home décor, and electronics to compete with established players in the e-commerce sector.
In addition to its expanded electronics lineup, Blinkit has launched a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram. The service starts with five ambulances equipped with life-saving equipment such as oxygen cylinders, AEDs, and emergency medicines, staffed by paramedics and trained drivers. Accessible via the Blinkit app, the initiative aims to provide affordable, reliable Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances without a profit motive. Blinkit plans to scale the service to major Indian cities over the next two years.
This follows Blinkit’s launch of its food delivery app, Bistro, in December, which delivers snacks, meals, and beverages within 10 minutes using cloud kitchens. Bistro enters a market alongside Zepto Cafe, which operates with plans to establish physical restaurants.
