Samsung’s Most Expensive Care Plus Plan Now Offers Unlimited $0 Screen Repairs

Samsung is enhancing its extended warranty plans by offering a new benefit: unlimited same-day glass repairs at no additional cost for certain subscribers. Previously, subscribers would pay $29 for a screen repair, but those on the Care Plus Theft and Loss plan will now enjoy free repairs. However, those on the standard Care Plus plan will continue to pay the $29 fee.

This new policy covers cracked glass on the phone’s outer screen, back panel, and even the inner screens on foldable devices. This is particularly significant, as repairing an inner screen on a foldable phone can cost hundreds of dollars without an extended warranty.

For owners of foldable phones, this benefit could easily justify the cost of the Care Plus plan. For traditional smartphones, the value may be less clear, but the coverage still provides significant savings in the case of multiple repairs.

Samsung offers the Care Plus plans with tiered pricing based on the device, with monthly payments or an upfront fee. For example, the monthly cost for a Tier 4 device, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra or a folding phone, is $18.

The regular S24 costs $10 per month. While the upfront cost of a Care Plus Theft and Loss plan is higher, it includes additional benefits, such as replacing a lost device for a flat fee, making it a valuable option for those prone to accidents.
