How to Download Individual TikTok Videos:
If you only need to save a few TikTok videos or images, the process is easy. On both iOS and Android, go to your profile, select the video you want to save, and tap the Share button. Then choose the “Save video” option. You can follow the same steps to download images.
Keep in mind that creators have the ability to disable downloading for their content, meaning some videos from your Likes, Reposts, or Bookmarks may not be available for download.
For users with a lot of videos to save, this process can become tedious. While some third-party apps allow bulk downloads, their reliability can vary, so use caution.
How to Download Your TikTok Data:
If you’d like to obtain a copy of your TikTok data, including your username, viewing history, comments, and privacy settings, you can easily request it through the app. However, TikTok notes that not all data may be available for download, especially if it involves other users’ privacy.
To request your data, open your profile, tap the Menu button to access Settings, go to Account, and select “Download your data.” Choose the type of data you want to include and select your preferred file format (TXT or JSON), then tap “Request data.”
TikTok will compile your data, and you’ll receive a notification once it’s ready. You can download the file for up to four days. Given the potential TikTok shutdown this Sunday, it’s a good idea to request your data sooner rather than later.
